The panel on the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) - Impacts and Implications for Türkiye's Key Sectors, organized by the Turkish National Committee on Solid Wastes (KAKAD) with the contribution of the International Solid Wastes Association (ISWA), took place with the participation of Assan Alüminyum’s Strategy and Marketing Director, Yavuz Arkun.

The panel brought together experts from the Ministry of Trade, various industries and the waste management sector to discuss the multifaceted impacts on the Turkish economy, industrial competitiveness, and sustainability strategy.

During the panel, the following topics were comprehensively addressed:

  • Challenges faced by aluminium, cement and waste management sectors,
