R&D Strategy

In order to increase the competitiveness of Assan Alüminyum on a global scale, fundamental research is being carried out in material science, relevant processes are being designed and high-performance products that meet customer expectations at the highest level are being developed. These processes aim to carry the Twin Roll Casting Technology beyond its assumed / perceived boundaries and to respond to new / developing expectations.

  • With the innovative method developed within the continuous casting technology and the alloy development studies coupled with it, the performance of products performances are improved and developed in line with customer needs,
  • The successful use of this innovative method to develop new alloys that utilize the highest proportion of recycled material through innovative casting processes without compromising product performance,
  • Developing alloys with reduced carbon footprint in response to customer needs, with customized solutions suited for specific customer expectations,
  • Using advanced material characterization methods in the production stages and in the determination of end product performance,
  • R&D staff with high competence in the casting, sub-production processes and innovative product / process development.

Innovative Solutions with R&D Center

Assan Alüminyum, a pioneer in the continuous casting technology on a global scale, develops sustainable products that are industry-specific and meet customer expectations at the highest level with its officially registered R&D Center and its highly experienced and competent R&D team.

In continuous casting technology:

  • Numerical modeling studies are carried out in international working groups to understand and manage solidification characteristics,
  • Joint studies are being carried out with universities to mimic the properties of manufactured products in cast form at the laboratories. These studies aim to apply the results to alloys that allow the use of high recycled aluminium as raw materials with innovative approaches.
